Arsenic in Drinking Water
Pionetics® Corporation is pleased to announce that LINX® Drinking Water Systems can help protect consumers from Arsenic contamination in their drinking water.
In recent news, it has been reported that California’s Central Valley has drinking water contaminated with arsenic. People who drink water contaminated with elevated levels of arsenic are liable to experience skin damage, circulatory system issues, and may have an increased risk of developing cancer. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, their most conservative estimates indicated that more than 34 million Americans were drinking tap water supplied by systems containing levels of arsenic that posed unacceptable cancer risks.
Arsenic is a semi-metal element that is odorless, tasteless and may be a threat to the public’s health. Arsenic can enter municipal drinking water supplies from natural deposits in the earth or from agricultural and industrial influences such as wood preservatives, paints, dyes, drugs, metals, semi-conductors and even soaps. It should be noted, the maximum contaminant allowance set by the EPA for arsenic is zero.
LINX® Drinking Water systems offer a healthy alternative to drinking tap water. “Contaminant reduction is our priority – followed closely by the reduction of water waste,” states H. Martin Jessen, vice president of Pionetics Corporation. Jessen goes on to say, “Our drinking water systems can produce better quality water by reducing the contamination levels of several different substances such as arsenic; making water healthier to consume.”
Pionetics’ specializes in manufacturing drinking water systems that deploy patented ion-exchange technology. Ion-exchange technology utilizes electricity rather than chemicals, and is known for effectively reducing several contaminants such as Arsenic, Copper, Mercury, Chromium VI Chromate, Fluoride, Cyanide and Lead. LINX Drinking Water Systems are also Gold Certified in Nitrate and Nitrite removal, reducing them down to non-detect levels.
LINX Drinking Water Systems offer a superior alternative to Reverse Osmosis (RO) treatment; providing healthy, great-tasting water, while still conserving water waste using through Pionetics’ advanced technology.
